Hi, I'm Punsara.

My journey into design didn't start in a studio. It started in a lab. I trained as a food scientist, earning my BSc (Hons) in Food Science & Technology with First Class Honours, where I learned to question assumptions, test hypotheses, and let evidence lead the way. Somewhere between experiments, I realised the thing I loved most was solving problems for people, and that pull led me into UI/UX design.

What began as a passion became a profession, and it has since grown into product design, where I focus on fintech and data-heavy systems. These are products where clarity matters, every number counts, and good design can make complex decisions feel simple. My scientific background is my quiet advantage: I bring critical, logical thinking to every interface, pairing aesthetic sensibility with structured reasoning.

Along the way, I completed my MSc in Information Technology with a Distinction, because I believe great designers should understand the systems they design for, not just the screens.

I'm a Sri Lankan woman who follows her passion wholeheartedly and isn't afraid to reinvent herself to do it. I communicate with confidence in English, so whether you're in Colombo, Ecuador, or anywhere in between, collaboration with me is effortless.
